After graduating from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, with a BS in Chemistry, Ali Farhat moved to Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Fall 2008 to work as a research assistant. In Fall 2009, he joined the Master of Science program in Water and Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Farrukh Ahmad. Since then, he is working on the Anions Fate project for his thesis, where the main anions he is considering are nitrate, perchlorate, and borate.
