Oluwajinmi-Daniel Aina (Jinmi), had his Master's degree from the Water and Environmental Engineering Program at Masdar Institute. He currently works as a research engineer in the Bio-Energy and Environmental Laboratory with a multi-disciplinary team of students, senior researchers, and faculty members. His MSc. research focused on Environmental Risk Assessment of the occurrence of disinfection by-products (DBPs) in recycled water in Abu Dhabi. He is investigating bromide substitution in trihalomethanes in water under controlled conditions of pH, photo exposure, reaction time etc. In the future, he intends to investigate the occurrence of emerging contaminants in water resources using advanced analytical techniques and study their hydrolytic pathways in the environment.
Undergraduate Degree: BSc in Chemical Engineering. Research Project: Disinfection Byproducts in Recycled water in Abu Dhabi: Occurrence and Environmental Risk. |
